A Little Knowledge is a Dangerous Thing

An old saying “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing” may be a big factor in what’s wrong in the mindset of so many today

I’ve heard it said that because of TV and the Internet we are being bombarded with too much information

I don’t believe that to be true. Instead, it seems people have a tendency to scan a topic that they have become interested in, pass on.what little they know about it  to FB and friends,  and pretty soon it’s being perceived as “The Truth”

The problem I think is that we do not have enough information about anything or anyone nowadays. This includes accomplishments/ failures etc regarding our politicians, lawmakers, educators, physicians etc

It really bugs me that we have so few in person meetings with those whom we are supposed to respect, trust, honour and/ or vote for. No more newspaper columns by politicians and other influential people because there is no more newspapers

The TV News, because of time restraints, is often abbreviated and at times incorrectly reported.  Events are sometimes merely headlines, nothing else

And now with the influence of manipulative AI upon almost every written word, the little we do know may have been deliberately distorted

What about radio? Whatever happened to community radio stations? Locally all we have is CBC radio from Prince George and Prince Rupert. I’d love to listen in but it comes on at 6 AM
