At night I like to watch TV
British shows appeal to me
Set in rural geography

I binged-watched Vera’s
Thirteen seasons
Never flinched
Nor had a reason
Her murders helped me
Sleep at night
Though I’ve an affinity
For fright

‘The Unforgotten’
Season three
Is gorier than
It used to be
I close my eyes
But still I see
The knife as sharp
As it can be
Slice the corpse
In front of me

Dead bodies,
Moldering bones
What I observe
Hurts
