THE (ODD) OLD COUPLE.

ON SEPTEMBER 4, 2021, GEORGE WHO WAS 85 AND MYSELF (DORIS) 83, TIED THE KNOT IN A LOVELY CEREMONY AT THE OLD LEGION HALL IN FRASER LAKE. THIS PHOTO WAS ON OUR WEDDING INVITATION. THE TIMING WAS JUST RIGHT. IT WAS BETWEEN THE GROWING TRAVEL AND GATHERING RESTRICTIONS OCCURING BECAUSE OF THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC. TO OUR DELIGHT,EVERY ONE OF OUR 9 CHILDREN MANAGED TO SHOW UP – PLUS SEVERAL GRANDS AND EVEN A FEW GREAT-GRANDKIDS!

As a member of Fraser Lake & District HistoricalSociety I helped publish local history book “Deeper Roots & Greener Valleys.” My two commercially-published books “The Ghosts Behind Him” re my son’s battle with symptoms of schizophrenia and “Common Threads” which is a partly fictionalized biography of my English grandmother who married a man from China in Vancouver Canada in 1912.
