I ‘m watching “The Last Waltz” on Tubi Channel. Tt’s about the 1970s Rock & Roll group “The Band” . Robbie Robertson , their singer and songwriter, has just passed away at the age of 80.

I am finally beginning to like the music that my kid’s liked back in the day!

Some Fraser Lake kids formed a band back around that time. They were advised to name themselves something provocative in order to become well known. They called themselves “The Dirty Urge”.

I grumbled about that name as my daughter Cathy and I perused their dance poster on the bulletin board in town.

“Why do they call themselves that horrible name,” I growled. “Couldn’t they come up with something else. I realise they wanted something shocking but not THAT shocking!”

“How about “The Unsanitary Impulse?” Cathy suggested, with a typical teenage grin.
