The Covid Shot

According to US statistics, deaths from Covid in 2023 escalated from 1,642 in children under 18, to 46,036 in the 40 to 49 age group. From there on up, numbers zoomed to 201, 940 for those in the 50 to 64 year old bracket, and then up to 307,169 for those 85 and older.

Since I am in the older bracket, I am free to choose the possibilities of what I may die of. My fears are not based on what will kill me, but what will disable or hurt me the most – and for the longest.

I am thinking that my best chances of surviving comfortably and for the longest, would be in avoiding Covid 19 by having my 5th shot; (I had the first 4 with no after effects) avoiding a stroke by taking my prescribed meds; and avoiding cancer (that’s the big bad one!) by what??

Well, something is going to finish me off so I would just as soon it would be a heart attack. Like my 90 something-year-old friend Lil, who was discovered in bed one morning. Lil had her reading glasses on and a good book in hand, as she reposed upon her pillow.
