MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES

I am hoping mental health experts will soon differentiate LOUD AND CLEAR between diseases such as schizophrenia, clinical depression, and bipolar disease, and those diseases that are being loosely defined as “mental health issues” Lumping them all together denigrates the desperate need for medical research (and tons of money) into treating diseases which scramble the chemical mix-up in the human brain, causing those afflicted to enter a muddled state of mind referred to as “psychosis”

There is no doubt that our society as a whole has become troubled by psycological illnesses such as depression and anxiety. These mental health issues affect so many men, women and children and need to be treated. And there are various treatments available. The sooner these issues are dealt with the better the outcome. But so many are hesitant to seek treatment because of stigma and the fear of being lumped with the more newsworthy poor souls struggling with psychoses.
