April 17th poem by Doris

Today’s prompt is to write a poem in which you very specifically describe something in terms of at least three of the five senses.

Conjoined twin

crescents

yellow with

brown freckles

and dark brown

splotches

marring their

phallic splendor.

Spongy squishy

bodies with

age-stiffened

stems

clasped tightly

together.

Acerbic odor

of  mature skin

masks the mushy

smell of

overripe bananas
